Annual plan continues for a new phone?

I’m considering buying the annual plan for the first time. I know it’s non-refundable, but I’m curious… if my phone dies and I need to buy a new phone, will it be a problem to apply my new phone to my account and continue using the same number and annual plan I’ve already paid for? Just apply the service to the new phone?

Presuming your current phone is eligible for annual prepay (anything but a Moto E1, E2, G1, G3, X1 or X2), you would be able to move the remainder of the annual prepaid term and your number to a new phone if needed. The how to on signing up for annual prepay is linked here:
