Are there parental controls I can do on my son’s phone? Or maybe an app I can download?
Nothing baked in, however, many of your fellow members have mentioned Qustodio Parental Control - Android Apps on Google Play. Others are available: parental control - Android Apps on Google Play.
Just to to add onto what @rolandh said, if your son is under 13, you may what to check out Google Family Link. It’s not fully open to the public yet, but you can request an invite. It does require android 7.0+ (it says it will work on 6.1 on certain devices, but I can’t figure out which ones). If you happen meet all those criteria, it seems to be pretty nice!
Apparently the following Marshmallow phones work with Google Family Link:
- Alcatel Dawn
- Alcatel Fierce 4
- Alcatel Pixi Unite
- LG K3
- LG Stylo 2 Plus
- LG X Power
- Samsung Galaxy Luna
- Samsung Galaxy Tab A
- Sony Xperia X
None of these Marshmallow devices are currently supported by Republic.
Thanks! Couldn’t find them. It supports all 7.0+ devices though.
