Bad cell calling Moto X 2nd gen

Why does my Moto X not recognize cellular on first effort at making a call?
Sprint rejects the call consistently on the first try. I always must hang up and re-dial to get cell recognition. This was NOT THE CASE last year.

I don’t know why you are having the problem with cellular calling, but one of the first steps in troubleshooting that Sprint suggests is updating the data profile:

Allowing data to be enabled is an important factor for call completion with Republic Wireless phones.
