Can I put my SIM card in a third party phone?

What phone do you have?
What plan are you on?
Does your plan include data, or just talk & text?

Issue Description

I have the moto x4. I just got it 2 weeks ago. Well I should have purchased a shatter proof case because I dropped it on the cement and shattered the entire screen. My question is if I buy a new phone from a 3rd party, can I use the SIM card I just got 2 weeks ago in this phone? And is there a list of compatible phones I can use with this SIM on RW?

any phone needs to be on the compatible phones list (exact model numbers)
as for if you can reuse the SIM wold depend on which network it is on, If If it’s GSM you can do this the CDMA partner you would need a new BYOD SIM (which is GSM) (moving phones by swapping a SIM is a GSM feature)

the easiest way to tell what partner it is is to look at the SIM and if there a Grey “Re” and a Green “public” it GSM, (if Republic is a two tone Grey it’s CDMA)
