I need to replace my G3 soon, any information would be great and thank you in advance.
In a word, yes!
You’ll need to acquire separately a Republic 3.0 SIM. You may do so from Republic here: https://republicwireless.com/shop/bring-your-own-phone/sim-card. Or, from Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/Republic-Wireless-SIM-Card-Kit/dp/B01J63NYAO/ref=sr_1_fkmrnull_2?crid=1VWP35NRD4I0H&keywords=republic+wireless+sim+card+kit&qid■■■■s=gateway&sprefix=republic+wireless%2Caps%2C178&sr=8-2-fkmrnull.
Please know the coverage for Republic’s standalone bring your own SIM is different from that attached to your G3. Different doesn’t mean worse. In most cases, the alternative coverage is equivalent. In some cases (mine for example), it’s better. In a few cases, it’s not as good. Should you find yourself in the not as good camp, please know it’s possible to fix that as described by Republic here: How to Request a 3.0 CDMA SIM Card – Republic Help.
Thank you! Much appreciated.
Well since that website jacked the price back up I went with the Moto X4 instead was 150 on same site, and ordered my sim card here. Cant wait for them to ship.
