Can't connect!

I am frustrated and stymied: my Moto 3G will not connect to calls via cell, except to my VM and my home number (which are on my home screen). In the recent past, I’ve often had to dial twice to establish a connection, but for several days I have not been able to make any calls (other than forementioned 2 numbers) What could the problem be?
