I have two Moto X phones (CDMA) purchased in 2015 which work in the
Adirondack mountains of New York (refund plan, ZipCode = 12812). I would like to upgrade the phones with ones with more storage, but am concerned that they might not work at all with cellular connections on the new plan. The area is served by both AT&T and Verizon. I understand that Republic service is provided by T-mobile and Sprint. I also live in Vermont where T-mobile service is extremely limited (AT&T and Verizon have the best coverage in VT). In both locations Sprint apparently uses Verizon as a roaming partner.
If I get new phones, will I sacrifice cellular coverage or is there an alternate solution to my problem?
