My wife has a defective Moto G4. If I replace it with a new G5+ can I simply swap the SIMM from her old phone to the new one? Or do I need a new SIMM from Republic?
Maybe. It depends which carrier your sim is activated for. You’ll need to take a look at the Sim. If the word Republic is completely in Gray, you won’t be able to move it to the new device. On the other hand if the word Republic is in gray, with the public part in green, then yes it can be moved. You don’t say whether or not the old phone is still active, but in case the Sim has been deactivated, it can only be reactivated for 20 days after deactivation. Once it has hit 20 days, a new sim would be required.
