Received notice from Republic Wireless on Nov 5 that I had 5% of data left. On Nov. 6 received notice that I had none. The phone was home in wireless area during that period. What used up 5% of data?
The answer to your question lies on the phone itself. Please try the following:
- Open the Republic app.
- Tap on the second icon at the top that looks like a cell signal.
- Now tap on the white rectangle on the bottom that says how much data is used.
- Open settings in your phone.
- Tap on Data usage.
- Tap on the option that says Cellular data usage.
- What apps are reported as using cell data in these locations?
If you’re asking what used up the last 5% of your data from Nov 5 to Nov 6, it’s possible that it was simply the result of a reporting delay. Sometimes data usage has a reporting delay, which may mean that the data was used up on the previous day.
Thanks. I followed your instructions through “Tap on Das usage.” This
produced a familiar screen with two on/off buttons, a chart with a warning
that “Carrier data accounting may differ from your device,” and the list of
apps showing how much data each used. I do not see an option that says
"Cellular data usage." I assume the list “App usage” is what you refer to
in “What apps are reported as usual cell data in these locations?”
I do know which apps use the most cell data, but my question is: when I
have 5% of my cell data left and the phone is operating on wireless, how
does that last 5% of cell data get used up? In a single day.
Okay. Guess we’ll never know. Thanks.
