Entering Phone Numbers and Keeping them

I have entered phone numbers under contacts and have saved and shows contact saved - did the edit thing, added phone numbers (home and mobile) hit check mark, says save, then hit again and it says contact saved at bottom of contact info - two hours or less later it disappears.

Also, I find can add a contact but there is no field for email address, just phone numbers.

This is all with my new MotoG4

Are you contacts showing up here or aren’t you using Gmail?
