My phone will not connect to the web shows ERR.connection-refused
If you’re on one of our older phones (Moto E (1st and 2nd Gen), Moto G (1st and 3rd Gen), Moto X (1st and 2nd Gen)) there are data access controls in our app that will result in this error if data is turned off for a specific app.
Open the Republic app and tap the cellular bars icon at top center. (It looks kind of like stairs.) Make sure the “Cell data” toggle switch is on (positioned to the right.) You’ll also see a list of apps at the bottom of that screen. (If you’re on the refund plan, there’s an additional small arrow icon to tap to view the list of apps. The arrow icon is at the lower, right corner of that screen.) In that list of apps, make sure the app you are using when you see this error has its toggle switch to the right as well.
