Fcc 600 mhz spectrum auction

My amateur read is bidding is over, on this TV UHF. Apparently, they are taking away TV capacity to enrich cable companies and encourage more moronic cable programs.

Award phase, and winners to be announced. But Tmo partner won some 600. Probably att did not bid much, due to them winning “first net”.

Now, firstnet looks to me like 700 mhz band that plans to cover ever inch of the country, even combining with satellite-For police and emergency. I wonder how this might help att build out the consumer part.

Now, what else has anyone learned? Where am I wrong?
