I recently replaced my daughters old Moto G 1st gen phone (16GB internal memory w/5.1 Lollipop) with a Moto G3 (16GB w/5.1 Lollipop) and after completing the Motorola Migrate and removing a few apps no longer used and several hundred old texts she now has far less internal memory available. Now the seller I purchased the G3 from is selling 8GB and 16GB versions of this phone and I guess I’d like to know if there’s any way my phone can tell me which version I have. In Storage the “Total Space” shows just over 4GB and “Available” shows just over 1GB. Her old G1 phone, which again has more apps on it, shows Total Space at just under 13GB and just over 5GB Available. Those numbers tell me I received the 8GB version. I know on my Republic account the Manage Phones screen should tell me which version I have but it still hasn’t updated since I completed the phone swap 2 days ago. Any insight?
From what you describe your G3 has 8 Gb of storage, about half of which is consumed by Lollipop.
