I’m probably missing a setting but when my galaxy S6 is not in a wifi area, it will not send any texts and sometimes not even allow calls. I do have enough data but the phone doesn’t seem to recognize it. Any help would be appreciated.
When away from WiFi you need to have a cell connection for calling and messaging. What does you cell bar display look like in this situation?
So right now, I turned off our wifi to test. I noticed that the ‘LTE with up and down arrows’ goes off and on just while sitting here. When the words show up, only the smallest bar is highlighted and texts will go through but not calls. When the words disappear, the bars show full but we can’t text or call.
It sounds like you may be in a poor coverage area and despite the fact that your plan includes data, the cellular towers in your area are not providing a strong enough signal to make basic functions work correctly.
