No. This is not the answer to the problem. Even if you have the correct settings for group texts, if your settings don’t have your phone number listed as yours, it doesn’t know which number to exclude from the messages, so the sender will continue to receive their own texts sent back to them as another person. This is infuriating, as Google and Apple could easily have the OS automatically input this number from the phone’s information. It’s just sloppy, lazy, amateur programming. The kind I’ve come to expect from today’s substandard programming coming out of these IT “mills”.
