Google Pixel 3a
Night landscape no flash
I have been leaving my DSLR at home since getting the Pixel. I took this picture on the river cruise in Chicago.

Phone Google Pixel 3a
Cagtegory landscapes and scenery - night photography, no flash
Notes the other people with me had iphones and photographed this same sunset. My photos were the most realistic and could hold the orange light of the setting sun as well as find detail in the shadows. Plus, given how dark it was, I was impressed by how crisp this is. This has no special settings on it and i didn’t do any filters or anything to make it look this way.

Phone: Google Pixel 3a model G020G
Category: Landscapes and scenery–bright sunlight
Notes: This is out in a beautiful clearing by my house. I moved around so the sun was in the perfect spot and tapped the shadows before taking the pic so there was a bit more exposure. Automatic HDR filter applied by phone. Other than that the photo is untouched.

This was during the summer on the 4th of July, and during a full moon. And yes the moon was pretty bright that night. It was 10:00 pm and the moon made it feel like it was only 8:00. This was taken with the night sight setting which usually takes 5-10 seconds to take. You do have to hold still so it’s not great if you’re taking pics of kids or something else moving but it’s awesome for landscape shots or even selfies in the dark if you hold really still. I brightened it up a little after taking it just to showcase more of the content in the photo.

Nice pic! Very lovely.
