My Moto X shut off by itself and went through app optimization that took over 30 minutes to complete; after it was finished a message popped up about “Complete uninstall”. 1) How do I disable the automatic app optimization; 2) What do I do about the complete uninstall message (I can’t glide it to the right make it disappear). Thank you.
There are three ways to work around the optimization bug:
If your phone is plugged-in when you power it up press the power button for 2 seconds, release it, and stare at the phone for 20 seconds. It will then boot without optimizing apps.
Unplug your phone before powering it up.
If neither 1. or 2. solve the optimization problem then you have an app on your phone that cannot be optimized. That app needs to be deleted.
I don’t have any idea what the “complete uninstall” message is about but instead of trying to swipe it away tap on it twice, once to make it bright, a second time to invoke whatever it is all about.
