A friend has an old DEFY, which is lost or dead. I can give him my MotoE but how can this transaction be moved to his Republic Wireless account?
Is your Moto E currently activated?
If not, he can simply reactivate it as replacement to his existing line of service. That would place the phone on his account and the Moto E would take on his old phone number from the Defy XT.
He will not be able to get the same plan as the Defy XT. The Moto E1 (or E2) will activate on a Refund plan.
Start by Factory Resetting your Moto E…and then give it to your friend who can follow along the on screen instructions to reactivate it.

You can deactivate it by logging into the My Account portal.
