I need to talk to a live agent
You may chat (type) in real-time with a Republic support agent when signed into your account here: Republic Help. Please scroll the page down until you see the blue "Chat Now! button lower right.
I’m typing this on Sunday at 10:59am. I don’t see that Chat Now button. In fact, I have never seen that feature when I’ve created a help ticket. Maybe I’m looking in the wrong place. I see Contact where they list Facebook and all the other social media icons.
Scroll to the bottom of this page: Republic Help. Under the heading “Chat With Us”, you should see a blue Chat Now! button. If instead you see Login, you need to first click that, then sign into your Republic account. If you still don’t see the blue Chat Now! button, live chat is temporarily unavailable.
This is getting rediculous. I’ve opened a ticket and asked them to call me. I get no call. Instead I get an email saying what time to call. Really? My internet and power are down from a storm. I have a few MB left on my data plan. What would they like me to do to buy another phone?
If the problem is that you need more data, then that must be done from the Republic Wireless App on your phone and it can be done via the Cell. Access the RW App or depending on the phone you have.

- On your phone, tap Republic from the app drawer.
- Tap the Plus icon on the right side of your screen.
- Tap Buy More Data
- If prompted to sign in, sign in with the account owner’s email address and password.
- Tap on the amount of data you’d like to purchase.
- Review your change summary and tap Confirm Data Purchase .
- Once your data is available, you’ll receive a notification on your phone.
Data purchases take effect immediately. They can’t be used after your next bill cycle date.*
- Open the Republic app
- Tap Manage My Data at the bottom of the screen
- If prompted, sign in with your email address and password
- Tap the + icon above Add data now
- Tap the + or - icon to adjust how much data you’d like to purchase
- Review the info on the screen
- Tap CONFIRM DATA PURCHASE
Our support model allows for calling our members when necessary, and then based on urgency. Needing data is somewhat less urgent than having a phone that won’t call or text, and the ability to add data is available to you on the phone, as @jben has described.
Were you able to add data based on @Jben’s instructions? This doesn’t look like a situation where an urgent call is needed, but if I’m not fully understanding the situation, please let me know and I’ll try to assist further.
Unfortunately adding data to the phone
via the rep app does not work as described by my phone call from
who I don’t know the name. And it does not work as the jben post
I click on
the + sign and get a rotating circle and then after a minute a blank screen.
Clearly there is something wrong.
And don’t forget that I do not have a n internet connection. I am connected to
cell data for the test. But I was told that a data connection
is not needed to buy more data. In any case it does not work.
then how do I add more data ? The rep
app does not work to add data. On either my phone 0505 or my
son’s p hone 0112. I was told that
the 0112 phone is the only p hone that could add data for all
the phones on the account and that it did not need a cell data or wifi data
connection. As hard as that was to bel ieve I took it as accurate. But
it does not work.
0112 rep app says that a cell or wifi connection is need. That phone has no data plan and I have no internet(wifi).
