How do I upgrade to a new phone?

My wife and I have had Republic Wireless for a few years now. I want to get her a new phone but keep the existing number and plan. How do I order a new phone without getting a new phone number, etc?

During activation it will ask if you want to transfer your number, but I’m fairly certain that the new phones are only able to be used with the new set of plans, e.g. not the refund plans.
