Dale I have both phones. The moto G1 is a 2013 model, the Moto X2 is a 2014 model. The X2 is a better phone, faster, has had less issues in the past than the G1. I like my X2 i really don’t want to get a new phone. I may use it as a replacement to my E1(the home phone).

Ok… with that in mind, how many generation of X have there been? whats the difference? You said " you like your x2 and don’t want to get a new phone…Is there a reason you would need to? I there something I should know about the X before I buy a used one?

Need as wanting a new toy. I like electronics and the phone is a 2014. The next X is the Moto X pure which is a GSM phone as of now but could do CDMA when the Sprint 3.0 is released. I would only update if 3.0 Sprint runs well. We will see, there is nothing wrong with my phone just age.
