Oh 1 more question. When the wife opens this can I just put her sim in it and she will be good to go or do I have to order a new one?
What model phone is she on now? You need to figure out what type of SIM she has: Can I Use My Old SIM Card in My New Phone? – Republic Help
It is a E4. I looked at the link but don’t see hers listed
Look at the SIM, if the word Republic is all gray/black it can’t be moved. If the “public” part is green, it can.
Ok thanks, I’ll have to wait till the Wife is not looking since this is a Christmas present.
If her phone is still working you could also check via the Republic App by opening the App, clicking the little gear at the top and then About. You’ll be looking to see if it says “GSM” under SIM Type which is what would indicate the SIM can be moved to the new phone.
You are awesome. Too bad I cant tell through my account online, Then I wouldn’t have to try to be a Nija. LOL
But I can, with your permission. Let me know if you’d like me to save you the trouble.
Oh yes please!!
Her SIM card can be moved to the new phone. Please reboot both phones after moving the SIM card.
Does Mrs. @eekzues need a Republic Wireless T-shirt to make the Christmas present really special?
That is great news. Thank you so much for checking. Yes I bet she would love a RW shirt!
On the Pixel 3a you list compatible models GA00655-US, GA00656-SU, or GA00657-US.
Is that middle one supposed to be “-US”?
Yes, it should be. Thank you for catching the typo.
Looks like the Moto G Power SKU PAH30004US is the compatible model XT2041-4 . Additionally, looks like the SKU for the compatible Moto G stylus (XT2043-4) is PAH10005US . That would mean the Best Buy and B&H phones with those SKUs are compatible. This should be VERY useful, thanks! One suggestion:
Change the “Moto Power & Moto Stylus” header to say “Moto G Power & Moto G Stylus” to match the names used by RW; as it is now, someone searching for either one might completely miss it here.
Looks like I’ll be needing a new phone as my MotoX4 keeps looping and can’t factory reset it. Motorola no longer sells them, but I did find them on Amazon and Ebay, however it’s not listed in the BYOP. Wouldn’t it work if I take my SIM card out and replace it if I get an unlocked phone? I haven’t decided for sure, kind of expensive for an old model. Any insight? Also since I have no phone I was thinking of getting the Relay but it’s sold out. Do you know if they will restock or should I look on Amazon?
I think you missed it. It is there: Republic Wireless Phones – Republic Help
Here’s how you can check if you can move your SIM, if it is GSM, it can be moved, here’s how to tell: Is My Republic Wireless SIM Card CDMA or GSM? – Republic Help
You mention the Relay, that’s Republic’s cellular walkie talkie thing. Did you mean Extend Home? If so, we have no idea when, or even if it will be back in stock.
Thank you, yes I think I did miss it. Yes I meant Extend Home. Any feedback on that device?
I’ve got one and am very happy with it. I hope it comes back soon!
