I have the Moto G (gen 3 I think?) and never managed to find a way to use it to make local calls when I was in Mexico two summers ago. This summer I will be in Costa Rica and would definitely want to use it for local navigation (Google Maps) as well as phone-calls within that country (while on cell, not Wi-Fi, that is.) Other posts seem to say that this is not possible. I want to confirm this if it is (sadly) true, or if there is some special way to get around this limitation, I’d love to know. Thank you!
If you have the Moto G3, that would be in the legacy Refund plan, and that phone can not support a local International SIM. It would be wifi only for data.
