I have recently moved to Africa. I am happy that I can still use my republic phone through wifi. However. I have a Moto X Pure Edition with dual SIM slots. Is there a way to keep the republic wireless sim in slot 1 and use a foreign sim in slot 2. That way I don’t have to deal with 2 separate phones.
If you have a US Moto X Pure, it doesn’t have functional dual SIM slots, the second slot is a microSD slot.
If you have a Moto X Style (what the pure was called outside the US) and it has the dual SIM card slot, it can’t be used with Republic at all.
TL;DR: What you’re asking isn’t possible.
Is this a North American Moto X Pure? If so, despite the fact there are two SIM slots on the SIM carrier, the phone only has one SIM reader and reads only the SIM in slot 1. The international equivalent of the Moto X Pure known as the Moto X Style does have a second SIM card reader, however, it’s not qualified to work with Republic’s service.
I’m afraid not. Currently, Republic supports no dual SIM phones.
