Republic does not off an international service though current new phones are unlock and may be used on any carrier willing to activate them anywhere in the world
Why not just buy a cheap prepaid phone when you are there? The additional cost to your trip should be relatively insignificant.
If you’re going to Asia, your Republic Wireless phone (upgraded or not) will not have cellular service and even if you have Wi-Fi, will only call US and Canadian numbers, just like when it is at home.
