I’m in Australia. Can I get internet here?
Your phone should be able to access WiFi, wherever in the world it’s available to you. What one might do with that WiFi depends on its’ quality. For example, shipboard WiFi is satellite based. Satellite connections should work reasonably well for Internet access and text messaging but probably (due to high latency) not so well for calling. Shipboard WiFi also tends to be expensive. You’d need to inquire with the ship you’re on as to how to access. When in port, you’re likely to find freely avaialble WiFi hotspots similar to here in the U.S. The following may help:
