International Use for Study Abroad

I’m studying abroad from late July - late December in the UK and Europe. I know I will be able to use my Republic phone on WiFi, but I’m trying to figure out the best way to get cellular data.

-Should I be able to use my Moto G5 Plus with the international SIM cards they sell at convenience stores?
-Are Republic phones already “unlocked” for international use?

Any advice/experiences will be helpful! I’m having a hard time finding info.

Yes. Your G5 Plus should support using a local SIM in other countries.
