Is Republic new phone pricing competitive with Costco/Best Buy/Walmart etc. for Republic compatible phones?

I know Republic offers choices for new phones, but overall, are Republic prices competitive? And what would be the best reasons to go with Republic for new phones? Might be getting 2 phones.

There’s really no blanket rule. Often pricing is the same. Sometimes 3rd parties have better pricing. Other times Republic has better pricing. If you purchase the phone elsewhere you’ll need to also purchase a Republic SIM card: Republic Wireless SIM Card Kit | Republic Wireless

Also Bring Your Own Phone (BYOP) activation is on RW’s GSM partner…so your coverage could be different. In order to restore CDMA coverage (same as what you might currently have with RW)
you will need to open a ticket and have RW support send you a CDMA SIM card.

In order to have this path to move to CDMA coverage it is important to select a phone that works on both GSM and CDMA. Refer to this list to ensure you are picking a phone that would be capable of moving to CDMA, if required.

Also, if you are considering exploring the used phone market, be sure to refer to this
to make sure you are getting a compatible phone

OK, we have a definitive answer. I went to Costco and looked at the phone’s package, and the Motorola G6 Unlocked that Costco is advertising is indeed the XT1925-6. It will be priced at $189 vs regular $239 from Nov. 16-25. And it will work with Republic.

Thanks all for the help.

Will the Moto G6 Unlocked Model XT1925 work with Republic?
