I am currently overseas and I have an internet connection and I cannot make outgoing calls. When I try to make an outgoing call I get a message “No cellulat network available. Connect to Wi-Fi to make calls.” I am connected to Wi-Fi and cannot make calls but can receive them. Someone please tell me how to correct this problem. Thanks
Sometimes when outside the country Republic phones get confused and insist on attempting to connect to local cellular networks even though doing so isn’t possible. The typical cure for that is to engage Airplane mode, then reenable WiFi, which turns off the cell radio altogether.
Another thought from your description is that you might be traveling with an Ascend 5W? If so, please see here: Huawei Ascend 5W Can't Call over WiFi – Republic Help.
