Moto e 1st Gen Android update

Issue Description

I was wondering if there is a way to force an Android update to 5.1 for this phone. I have tried via the normal system update menu, but alI receive is a message stating the phone is up to date. Thanks in advance for any help!

It will most likely take a ticket with Republic support and/or Motorola

I can see why it is a step down from the Moto G [as a budget phone from 2.5 years ago it’s is probably showing it’s age [it does have pretty lackluster specs]

If you are not seeing the update then update the following two apps and try again

Motorola Update Services

Motorola Contextual Services

Getting a message that I cannot install this item because I am not in the country or my carrier does not have access. I am in the USA. Any ideas? I’ve been routed to Republic Support for this, but would love any answer. Thanks!

Search for it from a computer while logged in using the same google account…and then send it to your phone from the desktop

Update!!! I finally got this to work! My issue was my old phone was still a registered device in the play store. Once I removed the old phone I was able to get the update. Thank you all for your help!
