How much slower will a Moto E 2nd generation be after encryption? I understand the process is irreversible and I do not find much online, so wanted to find out what others’ experiences have been.
What are you doing on your phone to warrant encryption? Second question why encrypt a Moto E2? Third question why not buy the best phone and encrypt that instead of the E2? An E2 has a slower processor already why why why I still ask?

Many contend that encryption should be the norm, as it is for communication to financial sites and most email providers.
Even back in the Palm Pilot days, I needed encryption for information like financial account passwords, confidential work info, lots of stuff that would be available to anyone stealing or finding a lost device. WHen my last Palm died (with all that info intact), I didn’t have to worry about how to wipe it before disposal since all the “secret” stuff was securely encrypted.
