Moto G contact number not calling number programed to it

What phone do you have?

What plan are you on?

Does your plan include data, or just talk & text?

Have a Moto G with talk and text, no data. Have my home landline number programed as one of my contacts, it has worked smoothly for years, recently, I “called home”, it did not ring the home phone, a recorded message with “member services” came on asking for credit card information so they could help me.

I have tried deleting the contact and readding, even adding a leading 1 but the call out number appears to be “hijacked”. My spouse’s phone is still connecting to the landline number.

Issue Description

Hi @jamess.wvwkro,

Is your home landline the only number you’re having an issue with? Are you able to test another number with the same area code and exchange (first six digits) as your home phone number? Are you able to dial your home number directly (not from contacts)? Apologies for all the questions?

The above notwithstanding, you might try your refreshing your phone’s credentials with Republic’s servers: How to Refresh the Republic Wireless Activation – Republic Help. Does that sort things?

Appreciate your questions/thoughts/prompts…

Refreshing the credentials seems to have fixed the problem.
Thanks for your assistance!
