I can’t connect my phone to my car’s Bluetooth. Is it because my car is a 2010 and is too old? My 3 year old moto g did not have a problem.
Motorola does have a history of changing their Bluetooth protocols. I’ve seen changes in the the BT interface with every firmware release. The Moto X (2nd Gen) worked OK with my 2005 and 2010 Prius but so poorly with my 2016 Prius as to be unusable. My Samsung S7 works flawlessly with it.
What make and model car do you have?
I have a 2010 Ford Focus. Was wondering if I need a new radio.
Before moving in that direction, could you tell us what steps you’ve taken to pair the two and where it fails, and what that failure looks like?
I have a 2011 Mazda that is paired with a Moto G5+, if that offers any assurance.
The car Bluetooth is not showing on the phone when searching. I connected the phone to a Bluetooth speaker to make sure it wasn’t just the phone and that showed and connected.
I figured it out. Operator error. Thanks for taking the time to try and help.
