Off plan

##Issue Description

Phone now used off plan just as gaming device.

Couldn’t connect to a wifi router so used dialer to reset wireless settings.

Since that time, phone continually tries to activate. We do not want it on a plan at this time.

How do we permanantly disable or cancel the activation attempts?

Hi @kjv1611!

You could try resetting it. Then, during setup, just skip past the Republic account setup.

Hi @kjv1611,

The two most reliable ways I know to do so are:

  1. Activate then immediately cancel service to the phone.
  2. Factory reset the phone.

Thanks. Yeah maybe that would work but maybe not. Surely there’s a way short if reeetting the phone. My child has their games all saved on the device and I’d rather not reset if there’s another option.

I ended up resetting phone and problem solved. It’s been a while, but I thought I’d report back. I had just hoped there was a way short of resetting. Thanks to both mb2x and rolandh
