Need to transfer phone number of one of our phones to a recently deactivated phone

What phone do you have? Moto G4 to Moto G7

What plan are you on? Monthly

Does your plan include data, or just talk & text? Includes data

Issue Description

We had 4 phones on our plan: 3 Moto G7, 1 Moto G4. My son recently switched services and phones so his G7 has been deactivated (as of a week or two ago). My youngest is using the G4 and would like to transfer her number to the deactivated G7. I thought I could do that in my account online but don’t see how. I’ve done this before but just don’t remember the steps. Thank you!

hello @tiggerhale
this is done though the activation process of the phone,
open the republic app on the Moto G7 and go through the activation (logining in to the account that has your youngest number associated to it and selecting that number as an replacement/upgrade

I will note that 20 days after deactivation GSM SIM cards expire so if the Moto G7 has a GSM SIM and deactivated more than 20 days then a new GSM SIM would be needed
