#1

Can I get Nexus 6 Android 7.1.1 upgrade by republic wireless?

If you click on update and the phone allows you I don’t see why not.

All operating system updates are handled by the manufacture now. The only question should be will the Republic app work with the update?

In which case, open a support ticket and ask. Republic Help

No updates available.

In this case I have to use ADB to do the upgrade. I think I will opt it for now. Everything works just fine with 6.0.1.

#6

That’s probably a smart move as some folks are experiencing echo problems with the Nexus 6 using Nougat.

ECHO’S (no solution yet!!)

FYI, Republic supports Nougat (7.0) on Nexus phones now and has since release: Android Nougat Now Available for Nexus Phones. When Google releases 7.1.1 to production for Nexus phones, that will be supported as well. Having said that, you might indeed want to wait out the Echo issue. Perhaps, 7.1.1 is the eventual fix for that?

My Nexus 6P is running Android 7.1.1 and working fine on RW.

#9

I got it recently with October 27th service patch. it might be the last update directly from Google.

You should get the Oreo update 8.0.0 I have it on my Nexus 5x.
An it is on RW an works great.
