I just got a Moto E5 Play yesterday. I’ve barely downloaded any apps and I’m having this problem. And I’ve restarted it and I keep having the same problem.

Is there anything more you can tell us? What exact steps are you trying to take and what is happening instead?
The problem is that it takes multiple swipes to get the notifications to drop down. I haven’t put a screen protector on yet but I do still have the protector that it shipped with. Everything else works fine.
That’s meant to protect the phone during shipping only and drastically reduces touch sensitivity and is quite likely to be related to the issue you’re having.
