Phone call disconnecting because another app is using the microphone

Issue Description

When on a phone call, after about 15-20 seconds the call abruptly ends and I get a message on my phone saying that another app is using the microphone and wouldn’t allow my phone app to use it any longer…I closed out of all open apps; it happened again. I looked at my microphone app permissions and turned all permissions to deny or to “only when app is in use” so that only my republic wireless app had all time access to the mic. I went to test with another phone call and it happened again. I stopped short of denying all of my apps access to the microphone.

Please try the following:

  1. Open the Republic app
  2. Tap the gear icon to the upper right
  3. Tap Advanced settings
  4. Uncheck Handover to WiFi when appropriate
