Phone keeps deactivating

My Moto G5 Plus often deactivates itself, which requires that I reactivate it to send and answer calls. I searched for previous answers to the problem on this forum, but the most recent info is from June 2018, and the only info provided is that the techs are “working on the problem.”

The only way I can get the phone activated is to remove the SIM card and reinsert it.
