Photo transfers

How do I transfer the photos on my Moto G/3rd generation phone to my Apple laptop computer?

Hi @janc.hiaxbh!

There are multiple options to do this. However, the easiest, in my opinion, will be to go to Google Photos - All your photos organized and easy to find. Your photos should all be backed up there. You can download them to your computer from there as well. Hope that helps!

Hi @janc.hiaxbh,

@mb2x’s suggestion to use Google Photos is an excellent one. Google Photos works quite well on Macs via a web browser.

That said, if you really want those photos on your Mac, it’s pretty easy. With your Moto G3 connected to your Mac via USB, please try the following:

  1. Swipe down from the top of your G3’s screen.
  2. Tap the notification that says "Connected as a media device.
  3. Tap Camera (PTP).
  4. If it doesn’t launch automatically, open Photos or iPhoto (depending on which version of macOS is on your laptop).
  5. You should see your phone connected with the ability to import photos.
