Porting number in from ooma

I’d like to port my number in from OOMA, but the republic app keeps telling me it wants me to activate and give me a phone number before I can do anything. How do I activate my SIM card WITHOUT getting a phone number that I will never use and just port my number over to republic?

That’s the way the process works. First you activate with a Republic number, then you use the customer portal to request the port.

Before planning to transfer (porting) your number to Republic Wireless you should check to see if it can be transferred by checking at: https://republicwireless.com/tools/number-transfer

Once you have verified it can be transferred, the actual transfer can be accomplished by following the steps in the following document: How to Transfer Your Number to Republic Wireless – Republic Help

Thanks! Just wanted to be sure before I did that, and I did check my number, so hopefully all will go smoothly, unlike MINT SIM. They were unable to port my number over. :disappointed:

Ooma can be a difficult port. Please see here: http://republic-wireless.wikia.com/wiki/Porting_Guides_for_Transferring_Your_Number_to_Republic#Ooma.
