Republic Wireless now supports the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL for BYOP

The Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL are now supported for BYOP. :tada:

This means that although we do not offer these phones in our online store, they can be brought to our service with the purchase of a Republic Wireless BYOP SIM card.

Supported models:
Pixel 4: G020I
Pixel 4 XL: G020J

Please note that Google’s newly released 911 Text-to-Speech feature is not supported for Wi-Fi 911 calls.

We support only the North American Factory Unlocked version of any BYOP phone. Please make certain any phone you are considering for BYOP is supported by installing the Republic Wireless app to check for compatibility, or consulting our Community guidance at How to Find a Compatible Unlocked Phone .

Hey there,

I’m looking into the Google Pixel 4 XL while it’s on sale. Just want to make sure I choose the right model to be compatible with Republic. Out of the three options presented here https://store.google.com/config/pixel_4, I should choose the “Unlocked” option in the middle, correct? I wasn’t able to find the model “Pixel 4 XL: G020J” on the Google store in the specs so I thought I’d check here. Also, will I still need Republic’s BYOP SIM card with that option? Thanks in advance!

Hello @pkthunda

Yes, that is the correct option to choose.

Probably yes, unless you have a current Republic phone that you are looking to switch out for the Pixel in which case come back and let us know so we can figure out if the SIM would be movable to the Pixel.
