  1. HI Southpaw, I want to purchase an unlocked Samsung S21 phone from Best Buy but the color I want is not listed on your spec list but the other three colors are. The color phantom on Best Buy’s sheet show SM-G991uzkaxaa. Was this an omission from your list posted or does Best Buy have the wrong specs? I really like this color.
  2. How would I transfer my old phone number which is a Galaxy S7 to the new phone?

@Willyski That version will work with Republic. The “XAA” at the end indicates the compatible US factory unlocked version.

Transferring your number is no issue. It’s a selection that you’ll make during the activation of the new device. Just be sure to sign in to the Republic App on the new phone with your existing Republic credentials.

If your S7 is a GSM phone, you also may be able to swap the SIM. You’ll open the Republic app, touch the gear icon, choose about, and then check the SIM type. If it’s GSM, the SIM can swap (but install the and open the Republic app). If it’s CDMA, staff has to help you to get the phone activated.

Well, after a while I broke down and purchased the phone and ordered a new sim card. The activation was surprisingly easy and transferring the data was very easy but the only thing is that I had to reenter all my passwords. On the bright side, I love my Samsung S21; I can’t believe how fast it is and I am even getting 5G which I wasn’t expecting. So, thanks for the info and I am a happy camper.
