Setting has stopped for pattern login

Issue Description

My phone is Moto g5.
My problem is that the phone stopped recognizing the pattern I set for security. I can use my fingerprint to unlock the screen, but I can’t do anything for setting because it requires me to input the pattern. I keep getting message “setting has stopped” when I entering the pattern.

Have you tried holding the power button until the phone reboots?
