Sim card problem, new phone

Issue Description

Setting up new phone (moto X4) for my mom who is an existing republic customer (Moto X first gen). The sim card came preinstalled from Republic yet the phone is telling me there is no sim card installed. I have reinstalled it twice and still get the no Sim card message and icon. Help please.

It’s usually a good idea to install all available system updates before you try to activate your phone.
You can look for updates by going to
Settings -> About Phone -> System Updates

If that doesn’t help, please submit a help ticket
