Texting not functioning

Issue Description

Using text for messaging doesn't function. Try to open a contact and just goes back to list and won't open texting.

As a starting point, which app are you using for text messaging? Does its icon look like this :messages: or like this :anywhere:?

That’s a very old version of the Android Messaging app. I see it as you’ve described on an older Moto phone.

That app has been abandoned by its developers and replaced with the Messages app by Google. Please install the Messages app from the Play store to use, instead.
