Why does RW want access permission to my email, photos, camera, etc when I try to set up a voicemail greeting? Can I deny access and still set up voicemail?
In order to record the voicemail message they need to “storage” permission. The message that you’re seeing is the generic warning message from Google that warns you that granting the storage permission may give the app in question access to those things. You can either grant the permission or not, but if you don’t you won’t be able to use the Republic App to record your voicemail message.
This is a very generic permission that anything that writes to the phone (your email app, podcast app, camera, note taking app, weather app, etc etc) will request and need in order to operate properly.
