When to remove Anywhere?

When in the Republic Wireless ownership transiti
on should I stop using Republic Anywhere as my default messaging app? I’ve been using it ever since Republic issued in order to send MMS messages.

Hi @clc2clc2,

Though no longer in active development; if Anywhere is still doing what you need it to do, there is no reason yet to remove it.

It’s true Republic is on the record as saying it will not be able to support Anywhere indefinitely. When Republic is ready to be more definitive, they’ll let us know. :slightly_smiling_face:

For the record, I continue to use Anywhere as it continues to meet my needs in a text messaging app. I intend to continue doing so as long at that remains the case.

If you read the trade journals and peruse the wireless blogs, Dish is projected to be 12 to 18 months behind in what was promised to FCC/Justice Department 5G deployment. My assessment based on industry scuttle is that the 200,000 Republic orphans are not a high priority on The Dish Plate. Wait and See/keep the faith is wearing thin.
