seems like the phone illumination dims sometimes, when there’s bright sun, it makes a definite step down, but I can’t figure out if there’s a setting to change, or what causes it to spontaneously brighten up again.
That is a setting on your phone…(don’t know which phone?, but most likely an “Adaptive Brightness” setting in your Android “settings” menu).
I haven’t figured that one out either…I turn the screen up when it’s bright outside.
thnks, I just noticed that myself last night. turned it off, now it stays bright.
seems the “adaptive” part is more maladaptive, why would it be better to go dim in bright light?
If your phone is getting hot dimming the screen can help keep temperatures down.
