Why don't some companies accept my republic cell number for text verifications

wifi only plan a moto 1st gen

Republic Wireless is a hybrid VOIP/Cell provider and their numbers shows up as a VOIP number

it wasn’t til recently that VOIP providers could do text,

these type of text verification happen one of three ways

  1. simple text

  2. short code text

  3. Email to SMS

for 1) most company that do simple text don’t have an issue or they are just refusing to believe a VOIP number can text

for 2) most short code provider should have no issue with the Republic number but some do not understand Republic numbers can receive and send short code and need to white list Republic numbers (Republic started support of short numbers last year)

for 3) the company most like doesn’t believe a VOIP can receive a email as a text or don’t know the Republic domain address "number@text.republicwireless.com"
